Man : Attitude of Gratitude




           

        Humans are interdependent people. The need for another person’s relationship, insight, or help others’ expressions of love and care.  When the help, love and care that are granted and given, we feel a sense of gratitude.

      Gratitude is an uneasy feelings, we need to  express gratitude, we will become vulnerable.  In showing gratitude we admit to the need for another person’s relationship, insight, or help.  By saying 'thanks' we subtly admit our dependence on another person. It is mere a mental belief.

       In reality, gratitude is something which will gratify and increased our self worthiness. The action will increased not decreased our self value and self esteem.


Showing Gratitude to Others
      A lack of gratitude is often at the root of a variety of the ills that plague relationships. Appreciation for their spouse, their love one and friends if not tenable will extinguish the relationship.

       Nothing can buoy up relationships quite like gratitude. A warm word of appreciation can instantly thaw the ice between people.

       Adopting an attitude of appreciation towards the things in your life makes an enormous difference to your level of happiness. People who consciously attempt to be thankful and appreciative tend to feel happier and at peace to a greater extent than others

 

What prevents us from showing our gratitude more freely?

  • Humility  : Gratitude is tied up with the virtue of humility. Gratitude shows that we’re in the acts of servicing the need of people; we truly understand the acts will make life better, easier, and happier.
  •  Attitude : The ungrateful has hardening unfeeling attitude; all good things that happen and all the service rendered are an automatic response to his greatness. He deserves all the services and more. Thus, he never takes notice of the good things that happen to him; never really happy with what he has, deserving only the best in life.
  • Humble :The grateful man is a humble man. He knows how much worse off many others are than he is. He understands the sacrifices others make on his behalf. And he deeply, deeply appreciates them.
  •  Ingrained  : Gratitude is not simply something that we externally share with others. It is an attitude that we live with every day. Some of the happiest men truly the virtue of gratitude
       The unhappiest men are the most ungrateful. They could only see the things that were wrong with their life, choosing to concentrate on the things they wished they had and wished had happened but didn’t. Their whining corrupted their soul. 

Tips For a Happy Life

  •  We lack appreciating  the everyday occurrence in our every life
  • Be careful when you make comparisons

  •  It’s natural to compare ourselves with others, but not comparing with those who are better off. Serious illness, great pain or relentless hunger we have ; is no comparison to those who are  famished, illiterate, abused or homeless.
  • Be more conscious about the things we take for granted 

  • Be thankful to what we have because we are so used to them, losing them can make we remember how fortunate we were. Don’t wait until something’s gone before you are grateful – your sight, your health, your family – take some time to appreciate these wonderful things.
  • See the good in every situation 

  • Situations are rarely ‘all good’ or ‘all bad.’ In reality, our response to life that determines the experience we are in. Deriving benefits in awkward situation as it is foundation for growth.
  • Little things matter 

  • A dripping tap soon fills a bucket until it is overflowing. Appreciating the many small things in your day will lead to greater and greater levels of gratitude and happiness. When someone smiles, small complement, bus is on time, friend SMS message… these are all things to be thankful for.

According to a research from the University of Miami, people who practice some form of conscious gratitude:
  • exercised more regularly, were healthier, slept better and felt more optimistic.
  • made more progress towards personal goals
  • were more alert, enthusiastic and could handle stress more effectively 
So be mindful with what you got, 
have an attitude of gratitude. 
Gratitude never diminished but 
enhanced you in life.
