Man : Clock (Time Utilization)

Time Utilization
Time is the ticking of a clock, the whine of an alarm, the calendar on the wall. Time seem solid.

An hour consists of a certain number of minutes, a day of hours and a year of days. But we rarely think about the fundamental nature of time. Time is passing non-stop, and we follow it with clocks and calendars. Yet we cannot study it with a microscope or experiment with it. And it still keeps passing. We just cannot say what exactly happens when time passes.

"People who feel that they are 'running out of time' have speeded up their biological clocks," says spiritual guide and alternative medicine expert Chopra. "They have faster heart rates and jittery platelets with high levels of adrenaline. When they drop dead from a premature heart attack, they have literally 'run out of time.'"

"This very personal view of time reiterates that time really is what you make of it, what you make with it, and often most importantly, whom you share it with."
Alexander Rose is the executive director of  The Long Now Foundation,

"People sometimes say that they do not have enough time during the day to get things done. I say, 'Yes you do!' Everyone has the same amount of time--24 hours in a day--and what you do with it and what priorities you set determine what you get done. Asking for more time is like asking for more board in a game of chess; there just is not any more available."

In general, sensible people know the importance of time.
Imagine there is a bank which credits your account each morning with $86,400. It carries over no balance from day to day, allow you to keep no cash balance, and every evening cancels whatever part of the amount you had failed to use during the day.
What would you do? Draw out every cent, of course!
Well, everyone has such a bank. Its name is TIME. Every morning, it credits you with 86,400 seconds. Every night it writes off, as lost, whatever of this you have failed to invest to good purpose.
It carries over no balance. It allows no overdraft. Each day it opens a new account for you. Each night it burns the remains of the day. If you fail to use the day's deposits, the loss is yours.
There is no going back. There is no drawing against the "tomorrow".

You must live in the present on today's deposits.
Invest it so as to get from it the utmost in health, happiness and success!
The clock is running. Make the most of today.

Treasure every moment that you have!
And treasure it more because you shared it with someone special, special enough to spend your time ...
and remember that time waits for no one. . .

Yesterday is history,
tomorrow a mystery,
today is a gift,
that's why it's called the present!
