Man : Rejoicing (Celebrating Your Life)


A.   Are you CELEBRATING your life?
  

  • Celebration may refer to:
  • Party, : a social gathering or celebration
    • Festival, : a community gathering to celebrate something in particular
    • The observance of a feast day or holiday
    §  By the term ‘celebration’ a lot of different meanings/aspects
    o   Thinking of balloons, parties, fun, birthdays, hearts
    o   Celebrations are what we make of them
    • Social events,
    • Ceremonies,
    • Artists,
    • Festivals etc.
               o   How about ‘my celebration’ is all about. It is mine, isn’t it?

    §  Celebrations identify the people who’re celebrating. ‘We are what we celebrate’!
    §  It is in the heart and to have the correct intention, regardless of their actions.
    §  Music, mingling of sexes, drinking, having fun etc. Be mindful to the fact that our actions define what goes on within our own selves.
    §  We are :
    o   TERRIBLE at celebrating our own accomplishments or milestones.
    o   Better when celebrating the accomplishments and milestones of others

             Recognition the deep need that people have to celebrate things –
    o   Part of our psyche, the need to demark the end of one thing and
    o   The beginning of another, and has been for all of time.

    B.    HOW TO SELF CELEBRATE

            Festivals are an important part of our lives.
    o   It is time to be joyful and it is to best period of life when we meet people and when we have an opportunity to be with friends.

        §  It is to celebrate specific festivals with friends and family members, community and human beings all over the world.
    Whether be :
    o   Special event
    o   Sharing good times with those we love
    o   Hosting a fun gathering at our homes or inviting loved ones to join us for
    o   An evening of local entertainment
    o   A Religious rituals

               By choosing to remember that celebrations:
    o   Defined by the attitudes of those involved
    o   An event of occasional joy.
    o   To feel happy, lighthearted,  joyful,

        But by choosing to share our excitements and joys with others in any setting,
    o   Can enjoy a celebratory atmosphere and
    o   Bring a new sense of meaning and enjoyment to each day
    o   Create a new atmosphere to be happy and gay in this modern life

    o   Fell honor our desire to celebrate with friends and family members including our loved ones today by reaching out to share our ebullience and transforming each


    C. The Importance of Celebrating  

         The importance of celebrating and the costs associated when accomplishments   are minimized, criticized or glossed over.

          §  The "celebration factor" in already in your life.

    §  We in our daily life been busily working on this planet
    o   Doing various and  numerous tasks and milestones along the way, to be                successful  in life
    o   This is something of a great feat, if you recall. Every steps and every activities have    abundance of achievements and success
    o   We all sort of lost in the flurry of other activities. Instead of feeling elated and joyous, with whatever actions that have gone through
    o   We felt into a mini postpartum depression and regret for the activities and busy on this world

    §  Have you ever
    o   Achieved an important goal or dream, yet quickly moved on to the next task?
    o   Or maybe you boldly took a risk, yet your performance didn't meet your expectations or others?
    o   Or maybe the perfectionist in you felt the accomplishment wasn't big enough or worthy of celebration?
    o   Do you generously celebrate your wins?

    §  Life is like performers doing their plays for the audience.

    §   Even though the achievement and the role is small and wasn't perfect, it is still a play and an achievement.
    o   The truth is, the activities of the life performance were fabulous, and amazing and powerful at certain moments.
    o   Parts of the life performance were awkward, and a tinge of nervousness shined through.
    o   Overall, it was pretty good; especially considering it was an experience. While everyone was focused on the overall performance
    o   But most are elated the imperfections of the performance, simply the courage to do it was worthy of celebration.
    o   How many times do you refrain from celebration when your desired outcome falls short of expectations?

    §  Need to push the accolades away, break this nasty habit of looking at the end of finished product.

    §  This whole experience served as a metaphor in TWO big ways.

§  First off, it's not about doing it perfectly.
o   It's about doing the best,
o   Being authentic about self, and
o   Enjoying the process. This is something to keep kept in mind
o   No doubt has a few awkward steps in the eyes of the public. Trading the aspiration of perfection for full self-expression and a joyful journey -- in your own life?
§  Secondly, realized that once again, not letting the celebration in.
o   FEELING the celebration factor is the key.
o   Positively anchoring an accomplishment conditions us to continually risk, express ourselves and achieve more.
o   And, taking in the celebration feels AMAZING.
o   Challenge yourself and go for it.
o   As things turned out, there may needed some width adjustments, last minute endorsements and a few needed corrections.
§  How would you have celebrated?
o   Our celebration consist of feast, merry-making – cakes – celebrations peripheral
o   But, it wasn't it; it was the ATTITUDE of celebration.
o   Making the evening special just because we decided to.
o   Most importantly, take the celebration inside and FELT it.
§  Celebration is about honoring yourself.
o   It refuels the fire.
o   It soothes the soul.
o   And, it FEELS GOOD! Without it, our efforts can take the wind out of our sails.

Life is full of big and little opportunities to celebrate. 
Some would say that CELEBRATING and experiencing joy IS what life is all about.
